Thank you, Bob!

Original Post September 19, 2019

Meet my nice neighbour, Bob; a gentleman, musician, traveller, political activist and avid gardener. He's a retired school teacher who grew up in Point Grey and someone who will happily engage in conversation about everything from climate change to his musical attraction to New Orleans.

Most recently, I saw him watering his plants and thought, there he is again, right in tune with Nature. We had a great chat as we always do, and I was reminded again of how important our daily practices are.

When we water the plants, tidy up, make a list, organize our stuff or our time, we live consciously and contribute to our own well-being. What we may overlook is that in doing so, we support our engagement with others and connect to our community. Our patterns, routines and sense of order at a personal level, influence our external environment. When we consider the natural elements of time, space and energy in our everyday, we support sustainability and attune to the higher power of Nature. Thank you for the reminder, Bob!
